Eritrea Cuts Diplomatic Ties With Ethiopia

Eritrea cut all diplomatic ties with Ethiopia on October 1, 2026. Asmara, Eritrea's capital, said it was responding to Ethiopia expelling its diplomats from Addis Ababa. With no resident embassies left, basic help for citizens abroad and direct emergency contact between the neighbors are now uncertain.
