Burnham to float triple-lock review to fund national care service

Andy Burnham will signal at the 29 September Labour conference he is prepared to review the pensions triple lock to fund a national care service, government sources said. The guarantee raises the state pension by inflation, average wage growth or 2.5%, whichever is highest. He will stop short of pledging to scrap it.
