Unite accuses Burnham of planning to axe pensions triple lock

Unite general secretary Sharon Graham accused Prime Minister Andy Burnham of planning to axe the pensions triple lock to fund social care. She said taking security from those on around £12,500 a year was "morally wrong". Labour deputy leader Lucy Powell said the party remains committed to the lock, which was in its 2024 manifesto.
