Sony TV chief says Channel 4 should become BBC's commercial arm

Sony Pictures Television president Wayne Garvie said Channel 4 should become the BBC's commercial arm to survive, speaking at the Royal Television Society London Convention, per Deadline. He said it is "very difficult to see how Channel 4 survives in its present form." Channel 4 CEO Priya Dogra previously rejected a merger, per Deadline.
