Parliament to be dissolved on 1 October ahead of 7 November election

Parliament will be dissolved on 1 October ahead of the 7 November general election announced by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon. New Zealand will have no Parliament until after polling day. The Governor-General will sign the dissolution proclamation on the prime minister's advice.
