Trump Announces Planned $15 Billion Iowa Steel Plant

President Donald Trump announced on September 28 a planned $15 billion steel plant in eastern Iowa, which he called the "largest steel plant in American history." Developer Mesabi Metallics, owned by India's Essar Group, aims to begin production in 2030 using Minnesota iron ore. Trump said construction has already started.
