Mexico, U.S. worked toward bilateral deal after Canada talks collapsed

Mexico and Washington were working toward a bilateral trade deal before the U.S. elections after talks with Canada collapsed, Reuters reported Sept. 11. A Canadian official said communications with Washington continued, but there were no formal trade negotiations.
