Shot man moved to ICE detention with bullet still in back, lawyer says

ICE took Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez from an Austin hospital late Sept. 20 to the South Texas ICE Processing Center in Pearsall after an officer shot him that day, lawyer Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch says. She says the bullet remains in his back and he has no pain medication. DHS did not respond to questions.
