Lawyer Says Shot Man Moved to ICE Detention With Bullet Still in Back

Immigration officers moved Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez from an Austin hospital late Sept. 20 to the ICE detention center in Pearsall hours after an officer shot him, his lawyer Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch says. She says the bullet is still in his back and he received no pain medication. The Homeland Security Department did not answer questions.
