Former Summerside mayor sole candidate for P.E.I. Liberal leadership

Dan Kutcher, who resigned as mayor of Summerside to seek the leadership, will be acclaimed at the P.E.I. Liberal Party's Sept. 13 convention after the nomination period closed with him as the only approved candidate. The party president confirmed no other contenders came forward. Kutcher plans to seek a legislature seat in a Summerside-area district.
