Gaza families bury remains of 100 people, including 60 children, recovered from Zeitoun rubble nearly three years on
Family members buried shrouded remains of roughly 100 people, including 60 children, in Gaza City after civil defence crews spent weeks extracting them from destroyed homes in Zeitoun. The Malaka family alone lost 55 members. No complete bodies were recovered. Gaza's civil defence says 8,000 bodies remain under rubble, with recovery stalled by equipment shortages and Israeli military control over 70 percent of the territory.
