Gasly takes first F1 pole at 190th attempt, pips Russell by 0.06s at Monza

Pierre Gasly secured his first Formula One pole at the 2026 Italian Grand Prix, Monza — his 190th qualifying attempt. The Alpine driver edged George Russell by 0.06 seconds. Gasly's only previous F1 victory came at the same circuit in 2020. The pole also extended Mercedes-powered cars' streak to 13 poles from 13 races in 2026.
