Government won't say what it owes NEC on Immigration NZ's troubled IT project
The government is refusing to disclose how much it may owe NEC, the vendor on Immigration NZ's $336 million Our Future Services IT project. Officials warned of a potential $12 million liability, and a quality assurance report cited NEC's intention to charge up to $750,000 per month for missing a 2025 deadline. The government is awaiting an inquiry result before commenting further.
