Anker's Eufy MindBase Runs On-Device LLM for Local-Only Security Camera AI — No Cloud, No Subscription

Anker announced the Eufy MindBase at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The hub runs an Anker-developed LLM on a dedicated AI chip, processing camera footage locally with no cloud inference. Natural-language search, event summaries, facial recognition, and smart alerts carry no subscription fee. It supports 16 wireless cameras, four wired cameras, and 34 sensors, with up to 48TB of expandable storage. Price and release date are unannounced. The hub is a Matter 1.5 controller supporting over 40 device categories. Given Eufy's past encryption misrepresentation, local processing is an architectural trust play — footage never leaves the home for inference.
