ICE Seizes Over 22,000 Ancient Artifacts in Florida

On August 28, 2026, ICE's Homeland Security Investigations seized more than 22,000 ancient artifacts in Florida — one of the largest cultural property recoveries in recent memory. The collection spans up to 5,000 years and includes Egyptian sarcophagi, Byzantine glass, and Greek and Roman coins. ICE HSI linked the seizure to criminal networks trafficking cultural property.
