China's Tiangong Ultra humanoid robot ran 100 meters in 8.64 seconds at the second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing on August 25, 2026, beating Usain Bolt's 9.58-second human world record. The inaugural 2025 Games' winning sprint time was 21.50 seconds — a roughly 60 percent reduction in one edition. Over 2,000 robots from 666 teams competed.
