Pixel-art Appalachian Trail journal targets atmosphere, not navigation

Andy Moliski and his brothers Adam and Alex built A Trail Tale, an interactive journal rendering Appalachian Trail segments as pixel-art scenes in the style of 1990s Sierra point-and-click adventures, with an original score by Alex Moliski. Unlike data-driven thru-hiker apps such as Guthook and FarOut, it aims to capture the trail's atmosphere rather than guide hikers to the next water source.
