Nashville Plans Multiple Dolly Parton Tributes After Her Request for Private Funeral

Dolly Parton, who died August 25 at 80, requested a private funeral with no public memorial. With no service to attend, Nashville's mayor says the proposed airport renaming is only the first of several civic tributes planned. Governor Bill Lee announced the renaming partnership August 28; the airport authority board meets September 17.
