41 Australians Among 1,924 Missing in Nepal Floods; Red Cross Estimates 600 Dead

As of 28 August 2026, 41 Australians were among 1,924 people reported missing after flash floods struck the Nepal-Tibet border. Nepal's disaster agency said 517 of those unaccounted for are foreign tourists. The Red Cross estimates about 600 dead and up to 93,000 affected.
