Closing arguments Thursday in Lindsay Clancy trial as jury weighs insanity defense

Lindsay Clancy admitted strangling her three children with exercise bands in 2023. She pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, citing postpartum psychosis, undiagnosed bipolar disorder, and medication effects. After nearly five weeks of testimony, the prosecution rested following FBI psychiatrist Dr. Gregory Saathoff, who testified Clancy understood the wrongfulness of her actions. Prosecutors must prove she was not criminally insane beyond a reasonable doubt. Closing arguments begin Thursday in Plymouth.
