Israeli forces led by National Security Minister Ben-Gvir raided UNRWA's Qalandiya Training Centre in occupied East Jerusalem on August 26, 2026, seizing the headquarters and lowering the UN flag. UNRWA called the takeover unprecedented, citing violations of international humanitarian law, UN laws, and a 1967 Israel-UNRWA agreement protecting its facilities.
