DHS Proposes $103,265 H-1B Visa Fee Weeks After Court Struck Down Prior Increase
DHS on August 25, 2026 proposed a $103,265 fee per H-1B visa, weeks after a federal judge struck down a previous fee increase in June. Over 70 employers had already paid $100,000 per visa before that ruling. Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft are the top H-1B employers. FWD.us called the increase "clearly unlawful" and expects litigation.
