Rwanda's Kagame warns he will stay in eastern DRC unless FDLR threat is removed
President Kagame told a Kigali news conference that Rwanda will remain involved in eastern DRC's conflict unless the FDLR — a group formed from remnants of those behind the 1994 genocide — is neutralized. "Remove this problem, and then see whether Rwanda is using it as an excuse or not," he said. Kinshasa separately accuses Kigali of backing M23 rebels.
