GrapheneOS Adds Motorola as AOSP Changes Make Pixels Harder to Support

GrapheneOS says changes to the Android Open Source Project have made Pixel phones "harder to properly support than many other devices," motivating its newly announced Motorola partnership. The privacy-focused Android distribution has only ever officially supported Pixels. Motorola support is set to arrive in 2027, pending next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite chips meeting its security requirements for memory tagging and secure element integration.
