Bangladesh Makes Hasina Extradition a Precondition for PM Rahman's India Visit

Bangladesh has officially linked Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's proposed India visit to its demand for the extradition of deposed premier Sheikh Hasina, who has lived in exile in India since her 2024 ouster. New Delhi invited Rahman for a stand-alone August visit ahead of September's BRICS summit. Dhaka says a "propitious environment needs to be created." India's presidential secretariat announced, then retracted, the visit.
