India's top three quick-commerce firms have collectively lost over $1.4 billion in four years. Yet Walmart-backed Flipkart Minutes is adding roughly 100 micro-fulfillment centers monthly — from 340 a year ago to over 1,020 now — targeting 1,500 by end of 2026, ahead of a planned IPO. The buildout leverages Walmart's balance sheet against venture-funded rivals Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart in a market still burning cash.
