Letara Shifts from Satellite Thrusters to Large Rocket Systems with $16M Pre-Series A

Sapporo-based propulsion startup Letara raised ¥2.6 billion (~$16M) in a Pre-Series A co-led by Headline Asia, JIC Venture Growth Investment, and Incubate Fund. Co-CEO Shota Hirai says the company will expand from small satellite thrusters into large rocket systems for space, defense, and security markets — a substantial technical leap. Strategic investors include Toyoda Gosei and NES Corporation.
