AFL Chief Breaks Silence on Swans Sexual Assault Allegations; No Players Stood Down

AFL chief executive Andrew Dillon called sexual assault allegations involving Sydney Swans players "deeply concerning" on 18 August 2026, urging respect for the complainant's privacy. Victoria Police is investigating a reported assault at Melbourne's Pullman Hotel on 17 August. No arrests or charges have been made. The AFL can stand down players accused of illegal behaviour but has not done so. The Swans are scheduled to play North Melbourne on 23 August.
