Winston Peters refused five times to say whether he had confidence in Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, telling reporters he is not a National Party member and walking away when reminded he serves as a minister in Luxon's cabinet. A spokesperson later said New Zealand First maintained "steadfast support" of the coalition.
