Feedly Fixes Weeklong Slowdown as AI Pivot Raises Questions About Core RSS Priority

Feedly fixed a web app slowdown on August 14, 2026, attributing it to a "Mark as Read" bug that scaled poorly across accounts with many folders. The degradation, which paying users called "unusably slow," coincided with an AI-focused update and retirement of the Feedly Classic mobile app. CEO Edwin Khodabakchian said RSS functionality remains a priority because the company's CTI customers rely on it directly. Feedly's status page recorded no August incidents despite over a week of user-reported problems.
