Entertainment and AFL manager Ralph Carr convicted of rape and sexual assault

Ralph Carr, 66, a high-profile AFL player and entertainment manager, was convicted in the County Court of Victoria of two counts of rape and one count of sexual assault against a former employee in March 2023. He pleaded not guilty. Defence counsel Dermot Dann KC accepted a "significant sentence" for "very serious" offending is inevitable. A psychiatric report detailed panic attacks and self-harm in custody.
