Berkshire Hathaway repurchased over $7.8 billion of its own stock in Q2 2026, per its August 8 SEC filing. Cash holdings fell to $364.7 billion, ending a multi-quarter accumulation trend. Operating profit rose 16% year-over-year to $12.98 billion. It is the heaviest capital deployment quarter since Greg Abel replaced Warren Buffett.
