
ICAC probes whether $3.8bn publicly funded Catholic schools body bankrolled NSW Liberal faction
NSW's anti-corruption watchdog is investigating whether up to $265,000 from Catholic Schools NSW — which received about $3.8 billion in government funding in 2024 — was diverted to the Reformers, a Christian conservative faction within the NSW Liberal Party. CEO Dallas McInerney, who has stood aside, told ICAC the payments were genuine consulting arrangements, not a sham to fund factional branch stacking.
