Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan Adopt NATO-Style Mutual Defence Clause Under Mecca Pact

Turkiye's defence ministry detailed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement on August 13, 2026, signed August 7. The pact binds Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan with a NATO Article 5-style clause: an armed attack on any one member is treated as an attack on all.
