
ICE Plans to Buy Electric-Shock Gloves Whose Maker Warns Against Use on Vulnerable Groups
DHS posted a no-bid contract to buy thousands of CT-G5 G.L.O.V.E. devices for ICE, delivering up to 380 volts, by March 2027. Manufacturer Compliant Technologies warns against using them on the elderly, children, pregnant people, and those with severe disabilities — groups routinely encountered in immigration enforcement. The NILC called the plan "disgusting and barbaric."
