Petition to expel U.S. Ambassador Hoekstra surpasses 29,000 signatures, heads to House this fall

A House of Commons e-petition urging the federal government to declare U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra persona non grata and expel him has drawn more than 29,000 signatures. Green Party Leader Elizabeth May is to present it in the House this fall. The petition accuses Hoekstra of intervening in Canadian political discourse in a manner inconsistent with diplomatic protocol.
