Vance Boelter, 59, was sentenced July 23, 2026, to two consecutive life terms plus 40 years in federal court for killing former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and shooting Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette in June 2025.
