Ghanaians Ask International Criminal Court to Probe Anti-Migrant Attacks in South Africa

Two Ghanaians filed a petition with the International Criminal Court, alleging systematic attacks on migrants in South Africa. Because South Africa is a party to the Rome Statute, the court could theoretically act. The ICC hasn't confirmed it will. Pretoria dismissed the petition as "opportunistic," defending its own courts.
