Iranian missile and drone strikes hit Dubai's international airport and the Fairmont hotel in February 2026, during the US-Israel war on Iran. Airlines operating at Dubai airports have since halved. After a record 20 million tourists in 2025, tourism revenues have dropped more than 50%.
