Undefeated 17-year-old Lutkenhaus favoured for US 800m title on Sunday

Cooper Lutkenhaus, 17, has gone undefeated in the 800m through all of 2026, winning Diamond League meetings in Stockholm and Oslo. Ranked fourth in the world, he lines up as favourite for Sunday's US Track and Field Championships 800m final at Icahn Stadium, New York City, against a field of seasoned professionals.
