St Helens head coach Paul Rowley steps down after nine months

Paul Rowley has stepped down as St Helens head coach with immediate effect, nine months into a three-year contract due to run until 2028. Saints sit sixth in Super League, six points off leaders Leeds, with six defeats in their last 10. His departure comes ahead of Friday's derby against Wigan Warriors. The 51-year-old joined from Salford Red Devils in October 2025.
