Drone Strikes on Wildberries Warehouses Shift Losses to Independent Sellers
Ukrainian drones struck four Wildberries warehouses across Russia from July 18–22, 2026, killing at least eight workers. Wildberries operates a marketplace model: independent sellers stock company-run fulfillment centers. So when inventory burns, third-party vendors absorb the loss. Meduza estimates those losses at 150 billion rubles, falling heavily on small and mid-sized businesses with little cushion to absorb the blow.
