Semafor Reports Musk Put About $1 Billion Into Skydance

Semafor reported on October 22, 2026, that Elon Musk invested roughly $1 billion in Skydance, the combined company formed when Paramount completed its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. The investment came around the same time as equity from other investors, including board member Laurene Powell Jobs. Skydance shares initially rose 6%, then fell 2.4%.
