New-Vehicle Transaction Prices Reach $52,342, Near All-Time High

Kelley Blue Book reported that the average new-vehicle transaction price, the amount buyers actually pay after manufacturer incentives, reached $52,342 in September 2026. That is up from $49,855 in July and near the all-time high. For financed purchases, buyers start with a larger loan balance.
