Average New-Vehicle Price Reaches $52,342 in September, Near All-Time High

Kelley Blue Book reported that the average new-vehicle transaction price, what buyers actually pay after incentives, reached $52,342 in September 2026. That is up from $49,855 in July and near the all-time high. For a financed purchase, the buyer starts with a larger loan balance.
