Alicja Kwade's Paris sculpture to be removed two days early amid French protests

Alicja Kwade's sculpture L'Élévation des Mondes, outside the Grand Palais in Paris, will be removed on Friday, two days early, her Paris gallery Mennour told ARTnews by email. Kwade said in an Instagram post that the work had to be dismantled because of announced riots and people who wanted to resort to violence. The public program runs until Sunday, October 25.
