Spain's SGAE Director General Calls for Rules to Protect Human Creators from AI

Cristina Perpiñá-Robert, director general of the Spanish Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE), a royalty-collecting body, called for rules to protect human creators on 20 October 2026 at Billboard Latin Music Week in Miami Beach. She said regulation "is not enough", because creators are excluded from how money from AI-made music is earned and shared.
