Conversational Gemini Comes to Google Maps on CarPlay

Google is rolling out conversational Gemini in Google Maps on Apple CarPlay for US drivers from October 21, 2026. A Gemini icon at the bottom right of the Maps screen opens a voice session for multi-step requests, such as finding a place and routing around tolls. Google says the global rollout may take a few days per device.
