Former Tokyo Olympic sprinter Beth Dobbin, 32, says myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) now keeps her in bed for 22 hours a day. She has left her house only five times this year. ME has no known cure or specific treatment. In a letter to Prime Minister Andy Burnham, she asks for more government funding for research into the illness.
