Indian court orders release of two Cockroach Janta Party leaders

A special executive magistrate, a local court official with custody powers, ordered the release on Wednesday of Cockroach Janta Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, despite a police bid to extend their custody. The two had spent about a week in Delhi's Tihar jail. As a condition, they signed a bond pledging no further breach of the peace.
